Yeah I  wouldn't be overly keen on people knowing exactly where i live .Not that i have a fortune in brewing gear , but i do have other stuff out there I`d rather not be nicked .
I think as long as people can see what town you`re in that should do .Maybe if everybody picked the local bus station/stop ? That way you get a good idea of the spread of brewers, without people needing to give out their home address . Also works for any stuff being picked up or dropped off . Details like where and when ,can then be worked out between members via messages .

i would just be worried that they would steal all my coke , leave the shed door open and all the hookers would escape .......again

Hello everybody,

FYI: I've finally started home beer exchange "platform" (part of www.HomeBrewMap.com site). It still runs in test mode, is available in English only and lacks documentation, but it was already successfully used for a couple of real-life exchanges :)

Please feel free to try and test the application and if you are brave enough you can use it for real swaps as well ;) You even don't have to register your home brewery to use HomeBrewExchange application (you only have to create your user account).

Regards,
Martin

Some folks on here have brewing sheds out in the garden that are full of expensive equipment. Can understand if they don't want to advertise where exactly they are. As you say though, point it to the local village to give a rough idea and it's grand.

The black helicopters from Diageo is it?? :P

I don't mind putting my info up, stuff homebrewers have is way too small to be stolen to order anyway as well as being very difficult to shift (in both senses).

I'm looking forward to next Christmas and my new Advent HomeBrew Calendar. But you can have yours as well  ;)

They don't brew beer in England, Scotland or Wales.

Hi,
If you are going to formulate NEIPA recipe with a lot of first wort hop additions and even more whirlpool hop additions I believe you will get stuck on final IBU estimation.

In this case you might want to check this new Diversity Methodology developed by Petr Novotný (Zymurgy Contributor by the way).

Part one, part two, part three and finally the most important part four (so far in Czech only - maybe Petr will publish new article in Zymurgy about this methodology?  :) ).

But you don't have to study the math nor create your own application. If you want to try the new model, you can do it online here: https://www.homebrewmap.com/en/tools/calculators/ibu-diversity
