Yeah I got one myself, have only used it as a hlt so far and the peco for the boil but thinking of investing in another one when they are back in stock for the boil.

Could you wire a raspberry pi yoke through it so you do step mashes I wonder? I was thinking about getting one just as a strike water heater, but wondering if it could be upgraded a bit. ACE are out of stock until the new year in the meantime.

Definitely could do that. The skirt is more than big enough to fit one in. I'm planning to put a REX C100 in mine but might look into the Raspberry Pi route too.

Why reinvent the wheel? Go down the ArdBir route.

Buy it online or build one, same cost as trying to start from scratch with a RaspPi, without having to write/source the code.

Yeah I should have said ArdBir as opposed to RapsPi!
