Hello
I m ordered a bottom Pressed brewer's yeast from the RIBM propagation unit in the Research Institute of Brewing and Malting in the Czech Republic,  the lager yeast used primarily in Czech and German breweries. I ordered 500 grams of yeast, packaging is 100g and 100g for pitching approx 80 l wort. I can share 300 grams, the price would be 15 euros per 100 grams. Pick up would be in Cavan town around December 13.or to delivery by post.

Hi
I received a response regarding the ordering of yeast, below is the entire letter I received, I will add only that it is possible fermenting wort in the form of rings, we can divide and multiply in the small amount of wort.
Pressed yeast can by order 100g, for the inoculation of about 80 l wort

Hello,

in the form of compressed yeast it can be ordered only tribe no.95. For other

according to the list of tribes, including the tribe no.95 it can order five liters fermenting

wort in the form of rings. This quantity is sufficient inoculation 40-50

promotion. Best suited for transport, it is appropriate to order a pure culture

slant in a test tube. However, this requires subsequent laboratory promoting

sterile wort to the required amount for yeast inoculation. Transportation u

All variants are possible.

The temperature sufficient to transfer about 10 ° C,

Prices according to the price list VÚPS:

Enrichment pure cultures within 5 litr = 1926  CZK (71 eur)

Net agar culture in a test tube = 1193 CZK (41eur)

Pressed yeast = 1 kg no.95 1275 CZK (47eur ) (for the inoculation of about 800 l wort)

Jaroslav thanks for getting this information for us.  They seem quite expensive though for their slants, at E41 and E71 for a 5L starter.

For a slant we'd also need someone with a lab set up to grow it up.
