Man that DIPA... so drinkable. Great night as always and some lovely beers. Interesting everyone is having issues with the hops in the pale ales at the moment. I wonder is there an issue with the harvest...
Fermenting: IPA, Lambic, Mead
Conditioning: Lambic, Cider, RIS, Ole Ale, Saison
On Tap: IPA, Helles, Best Bitter

What varieties are you having issues with, and what kind of issues are you seeing? Is the underwhelming hop phenomena spreading?

Lack of flavour and aroma in cascade, citra, nelson ...

Pale ales and IPAs not being judged until next weekend, bit early to be getting the excuses in lads.  :P

I see a bunch of new categories for 2017:

Most disappointing pale
Most half-arsed use of highly flavoured hops
The misery test
What's your favourite kind of drizzle?
Best in show: The beer you'd most want to share with Morrissey over a lifeless lentil salad

Actually, feck it; that's the Belfast November comp sorted right there!

Jokes aside ... if you know where can we source some fresh american/nz hops share it.
For the moment have some doubts that the hops I got last time are from 2015 harvest.
Really looking forward to try the Slovenia hops we got from GEB.

I know what you mean. Nothing more disappointing than opening a pack of 'new', 'fresh' fruity hops and the big anticipated aroma punch is more like a damp tickle.

The worst is when you open a pack of leaf hops and half the effers are brown.

I've been using GEB for recent hop purchases. All pellets. So far so good, but I guess they'll only be as good as the harvest they came from.
