Bit more looking into it before committing to buy.

I think the idea is great just could see a plug of trub getting stuck in the valve, I see folks drilled their plastic valves to get over that, let us know how you get on after you buy it

Now you have me thinking, a plastic bucket valve rammed up a normal funnel

This on the other hand may do it if it was watertight on the flap that drops down.

That would be amazing if it could tie into the brewing software and be able to change the temperate automatically when it reaches a  certain gravity.
