It was delivered yesterday dut I didn't get time to hook it up. I'll let you know how I get on tonight.

From a quick glance it looks identical to the one I used before but I haven't compared them side by side or tried to fit the regulator yet.

Ye that's the one I have been using last 2 years or more from same company.

I have ordered same gas from same company the same amount of time but they obviously got new supplier of gas and found out the connection is wrong and have gone back to original supplier.

Thing is I'm stuck with the bottle with wrong connection and they won't return my calls or emails.

I'm gonna get on to credit card company or something see if they can get my money back not sure never had this issue before.

Does anyone else have a different supplier of the oxyturbo bottle ?

I used to buy mine in the North they were always a standard fitting, contact them directly complaining about local distributor and asking do they have others.

Grand ...that looks like the way to go so cheers CH

While I'm at it......is there a difference in industrial and medical oxygen cylinders as might look into that also
I assume it's all the same but not sure any ideas ?

O2 for welding like Medical has to be pure.
I got one of these a couple of years ago and tbh i did a side by side comparison on fermentation on a 1050 using 2 packs per batch of Bry 97, one with 35 secs of O2, 1 just aerated by pumping into fermentor there was no difference in taste although rate of kickoff was 6 v's 8 hours.
I only use O2 now for lagers and anything above 1070 and not for conventional beers, note for lower gravity beers my starters are typically 2L.

I'm wondering if the non medical ones have any sort oil residue or something.

I seen a photo somewhere of a guy who purged the cylinder of oxygen onto a rag and at the end the rag was discoloured with some sort of residue possibly oil substance.

I know for pneumatic systems there will be an air dryer and lubrication unit which it only provides a microscopic amount oil in the air for moving parts like solenoid valves so i can see the advantage for commercial oxygen.

Maybe the medical cylinders are cleaned internally before every fill....guessing here.

I'm just wondering as commercial ones are easier to get and i think i might go that road as i might know a guy who can sort one for me.

You could add an inline filter between the bottle and the oxygen wand for insurance.

There is an issue with oils in those Co2 cylinder bulbs that are meant for inflating bike tyres and homebrewers use them in for temporarily gassing cornies. The oil is used to form or stretch the bulb to the desired shape with cheaper metals which is not a problem if you are inflating a bike tyre.
The food grade ones are produced with a higher calibre metal and are more expensive.

I had a filter on mine originally like this one http://www.thehomebrewcompany.ie/spare-sterile-filter-for-wort-aerator-p-1204.html and took it off and still have one of these or similar to measure 1L/min on my original Oxy tank

I never saw any oils in either the filter or any residue in the piping or in the gauge.
