Heya,
I had one of those cheap plastic PH pens, but it stopped working after about 6 months. Any recommendations for a cheap replacement that doesn't break and is fairly easy to maintain?

Ha!! You come in here for a bit of light bedtime reading and you leave with your name on a group buy :D  I'm also in the market for one.  Would also be interested in calibration solutions to go with it.

Been thinking about going for this one for a while.

Guys I think if we are serious about this the budget needs to be in the 50-75 range aka the link posted above.

Maybe edit your name with budget as well

I'd happily go for the one linked as well if the GB is a goer.

Count me in if the price isn't exorbitant.

A handy list of what Farnell has available.
I bought the testo 206 PH1 over a year ago from Amazon.com where it was cheap. But Amazon sting you for duty, VAT and shipping which jacks up the dollar price quite a lot. It's a fantastic meter though. Has a gel cap which keeps the sensor safe. No need for storage solution.
You need one with better than 0.1 pH accuracy, since we need to measure 5.0-5.6 range. AJ deLange has a thread on HomeBrewTalk about come of the meters they tested in the States. I would recommend the Testo, but it's not cheap.

For those that have ph meters where are you buying your buffer and storage solutions?
How often do you recalibrate?
