Beer tastes like soil

Tapped an IPA a couple of weeks ago and while its not the best (too bitter), its ok but in the past week it has developed a flavour I can only describe as tasting like soil/dirt. The beer smells fine (nice and hoppy) but its as if I'm using a dyson hoover as a randall when it comes to flavour. Anyone know what this could be?

Recipe, ingredients, process?
How were ingredients stored?
Bottle or keg?
Is issue consistent across bottles or through keg?
How are these being stored/sanitised before filling?

Don't really understand what you mean by dirt. Astringency? Tannins maybe?

Are the hop varieties common or are you using a new type not used before.

Can be caused by a particular mould if your gear is stored in a damp cellar etc but more likely

Looking at the chart CH put up I can see your problem. Where it states "How can it avoided/controlled" answer is QUIETLY transfer of wort/beer when siphoning or transferring. What God awful music where you listening to that your beer could hear as well :D

Its a double ipa in a keg. I did clean the tap after I tapped it as I did spot some gunk on the tap. Maybe I just didn't rinse the tap enough :-\ Can always clean it again I suppose.

Now where is that domestos

Tried a different tap and the beer was ok so its the tap which I was never really happy with in the first place to be honest (its one of those celli knock-offs). I'm now in the market for a replacement, so wheres the best place to buy a good quality one?  O0
