Hi everyone,
I have been offered a jacketed fermenter at very reasonable price (250l) with no cooler. Can't see myself spending 3k+ for a new cooler. Anybody knows how these are actualy made and how these are working?

Might sound silly but is it not just a liquid circulated through radiator using a pump and cooling done with a fan where temp controler (stc 1000 or similar) takes care of adjusting temperatures?

Thanks for any info. :)

250l your having a laugh right? Revenue will be knocking on your door
Put a cooper or stainless coil in it recirculating using some kind or beer chiller heater unit.
Lots of dairy equipment on done deal easily converted to beer gear at those sorts of volumes

Well it would only be half full most of the time  :) if I were to put a coil inside of the tank it would have to be fairly close to the bottom. Anyway would small 2 line undercounter beer cooler be enough to maintain the temp?

I was thinking stc1000 + pump + car (or some sort ) radiator + cooling fan :)
