100mls is a grand size for a large fest, plus it's unlimited so you can go back for more

Leann ull

That's enough to judge a beer, Irish fests with their McDonald's cups and half pint and pint measures have a lot to learn

beerfly

Could not agree more, interested to see how the alltech taster pan out.

Qs

I disagree.  100ml is not enough to judge a beer properly.  That size is for people wanting to add as many check ins as possible to their untappd. Anything less than 250ml is too little IMO.

BrewDorg

At such a big festival though, the more you can try the better surely

molc

100ml is the perfect size. At the festival in Bruges, it was smaller measures, but lots of them. Got to try so many different styles and didn't feel bad dumping a sample if it wasn't what you were looking for in the beer.

So much better than having to get a pint of cr*p like in the RDS last year and then struggling through it before trying your next.
Fermenting: IPA, Lambic, Mead
Conditioning: Lambic, Cider, RIS, Ole Ale, Saison
On Tap: IPA, Helles, Best Bitter

100ml is fine during the day if you want to try loads of beers and styles but come 9pm I want a pint. Going back for 100ml of session IPA every few mins would very quickly get old.

60Ml is the BJCP target, 100Ml is more than enough to taste, 250 is about right for a festival as you can drink lots without getting sloshed, at Irish beer fests I ask for halves and very simple rule if its an 80+% it it gets finished otherwise a few sips and chucked.
This can be expensive but my palate and head thank me the next morning and life is too short to drink shit beer.

bigal82

I think 100ml is perfect for trying but if you find something you like then could be tedious asking for more. Anyways I'm heading to this
