Hey gang, finally after two years of kits and a new shed with a small space reserved for brewing, I'm switching to all grain.
Have a cheap fridge going to me and already own an Inkbird, is it a simple case of plugging both fridge an tube heater into
the inkbird and away I go.

On the tube heater, what Watt is best due to its location, its only a small undercounter fridge, any advice appreciated

Don't know about the tube but the Inkbird is plug and play,  simply to set temp

Don't have a fridge (yet) so can't speak for that but the inkbird is very handy to set up alright, plug in your cooler & heater, set your desired temp and it'll turn on/off each as required. There's a setting for the margin as well, 0.5c is the minimum I think.

I would also invest in a 12DC volt fan to recirculate the heat & the cold air. Computer fans will do the job nicely. It will help with prolonging the life of the compressor in the fridge also.

I got a 2 ft. 80 watt tube heater in mine. Think it's a bit overkill. Would get half the size next time. And installing a small is a great idea.

40w 1ft is just sufficient 60 or 65w is better

Bought two dimplex 60w off amazon and got them delivered to parcelmotel. Very happy with them

They are 35cm in length and fit nicely into the fridge

Leann ull

Yep they are the ones I have with a fan at one end.

thanks all, any ideas where is safest bet for a fresh new hold, and at a push if I rush to get a brew on can I use a brew belt in the interim till I source and wire up a tube heater, consensus seems to be a 60w is would be plenty ??
