Bottle capper recommendations

I was wondering if anyone can recommend a good bottle capper before I fork out for one.

I bought a double lever bottle capper that I got for around €13 but Im pretty disappointed with it. It takes about three presses to get a cap on and that's when it goes well.

It's not an area that I thought I would have to spend much on but for the sake of the time it would save and the amount of cursing it would prevent I think I should invest in something better. TIA.

I was going to buy a cheap-o one as well, but read stories about some failing to cap properly, build quality and other issues. So, I figured spending a bit on a quality one would be worth it in the long run.

I think the bench cappers are probably the way to go so. Thanks for the replies lads

@Pheeel do you find them easier to work with? One pull down on the cap gets the job done?

@cruiscinlan I've never been on that site before, it looks very reasonable, could be quite dangerous

I have a twin handle and a bench capper.
The twin handle http://www.homebrewwest.ie/twin-lever-capper-black-338-p.asp  doesn't do some bottles, koppaberg, wycherley, twist-offs but does all normal craft bottles.
Once I have the right bottles, never an issue.

That's the one! (im fairly sure) I don't want to sound too critical but a bottle capper should cap bottles That's it's function like. I hate this one, it just doesn't work for me. The levers arent synchronised so it's guess work as to keeping it straight over the cap and the steel lips that grab the bottle have broken a few on me. Really badly designed in my opinion.

But I am in the market for a solution. Bottling wouldn't be the most appealing part of brewing so I'm trying to make it as easy as possible, within reason.

I can't fault mine although I have seen others with the same one which bent from capping twist offs.
They don't do all, if you want one that does all then bench is the way to go.
Spend the extra few quid and get the 29mm bell too, then you can't come back and say 'Johnrm said...'

I like this one and it comes with a 29mm bell. Out of stock everywhere, but maybe phone one of them up and see when they'll be back in stock.

Buy one of the bench cappers, don't waste your time with one of those aneurysm inducing twin lever pieces of shite. http://www.thehomebrewcompany.ie/counter-top-capper-coloured-suits-26mm-and-29mm-crown-caps-p-2488.html I've one of these, it's done over a thousand bottles between my use and when it was on loan to a microbrewery, its sold out in hbc they've a fancier model for a bit more or try hbw.
