Brew Builder Rims Tube

Folks anyone got any experience with these?? https://www.brewbuilder.co.uk/rims.html Thinking of pulling the trigger.

Detail is quite vague on their site.
2 pumps and hlt needed?

Not HLT. The heating is done in the tube.
Looks like you'll need a low density element.
Thing about rims V's HERMS is the wort has direct contact with the heat source and may get a lot
more localised heating / scorched as it's in contact with element.
Did a lot of looking into it before building my setup and HERMS has a lot better results.

+1 on that. RIMS has the risk of overheating the wort passing through it  where as HERMS only has the wort passing through it at the desired temperature of the mash.

Dempsey you used copper for your coil if I remember correctly.. I take it that's OK to use with wort.. Is cleaning the coil an issue?
