My advice never use a petroleum based lube on a silicone product as it is detremental to structural integrity of said silicone product, always use a water based lube on silicone if you must :o

And get yere minds outta the gutter i am talking about o-rings :D

See now i was not gonna mention the KY but leave it to ciderhead ::)  All joking aside its a far better option for rubber seals and if you run out of it you can get it in any chemist :-[

Also using some sort of vaseline.
Got mine from Norm , he's a good source for cornie spare parts as well.

I've never used anything on my cornies. Not really noticed any significant escape of CO2. Is there another reason for it?

Partridge9

Actually I always have a nightmare sealing my cornies

Are you telling me I have to get KY jelly ..

All i was saying anyway for my two cents is never use a petroleum distillate product on a rubber seal, always use a water based lube,if its good enough for your wanger then its good enough for your cornie ;D
