just got my double reg in the post form Alex today - had a good chat on the phone over Christmas - sound dude !!

so Question time !!!!

I have 4  gas cylinders all pretty much empty

went out and my reg fitted the two I thought were mixed gas - one of which a big feck off Miller one has printed on the side 60 % nitrogen 40 percent C02
the other was given to me by Mick in homebrew company - its a smaller red one with stout printed on it but looks like a new valve had been put on it, might give him  abell & ask

weird
teh thhread on  other two small silver ones would fit the Reg thread wise only it doesnt reach due to teh male part of the reg &   inside the thread on the cylinders there looks to be a little fitting thats flush out to the thread, preventing the male reg part from inserting into it

I guess its kinda the opposite to what I expected i thought the two silvers would be the ones that fitted the reg

sorry I have no pics but camera phones full

anyway - I guess ill be makking a trip to teh local fire extingusher dude over next few days

has any ones alarm bells strated ringing on this ?
do my descriptions seem familair to the more experienced keggers out there ?
i guess my concern is that some of these cylinders are a bit old
coz theres always something new to do

alealex

Sounds like you have some of old valves on cylinders, would tell more if seen pics. If your badly stuck I'm sure Dave from Cork will supply you with co2 cylinder with valve that fits (0868597575).
To anybody who's looking for co2 regulators - yes I do have 'em. ;)
Bad day brewing is better than good day working.

ok - have some pics here - Spoke with Tucan at yesterdays meet and apparently all my cylinders  are good for co2

edit - pics are feckin massive, im too lazy to resize them - if anyone actually wants to see them - i'll give it a shot,

so .... i have a red stout cylinder - this is mixed and has a brass adapter fitted for the co2 reg

2 grey ones that have a little fitting in them that can be removed and a large miller one that  the reg fits
so now its just a case of gettin one filled

coz theres always something new to do
