Would that false bottom be big enough for my huge pots? ~45cm diameter internally for my mash tun!

Get the 290mm stainless steel plates they sell in IKEA,they are sold as candle dishes. Use a stainless steel 1mm cutting disc and cut slits in it,then when its turned over it is agreat and cheap Mash Tun false bottom.

Another option for false bottle ss colander 25cm from Ikea - see link.above.

Cut the handle off and your done, only need a hacksaw. comes with a few hundred small holes :-)

I had one bought for just that purpose, the wagon intercepted and had it in the cupboard as it travelled enroute to the shed.
