Aimed at those who work in labs with glassware can anybody tell me how I can get off burnt DME on the inside from a starter I made.
Funny thing is I always add water first so I don't know how it got burnt.
I've tried VWP a couple of times with a bottle brush but no joy.
I was thinking soda crystals?

You can buy HCl OTC in the hardware. Its in certain types of drain cleaner, although the vast majority are sulphuric acid so check it first ;D

Be careful with sulphuric acid as it can etch glass if left in contact for long enough.
