As I'm wortking on some sort of database/expert system for hop substitutions has any one got a synopsis of the hops ( as I didn't get any !! )

I have the rough analyses from Farnhams but each bale is different!

Remember: The Nationals are just round the corner - time to get brewing

Cheers. Need to get some serious brewing done with the fancy new hops.

Hop Bomb

I got 400g of bramling x in the door today. How could I not after the hype on here :)  Going in an imperial IPA this Fri.

Anyone any suggestions re: hop additions & boil time?
On tap: Flanders, Gose,
Fermenting: Oatmeal Brown, 200ish Fathoms,
Ageing: bretted 1890 export stout.
To brew:  2015 RIS, Kellerbier, Altbier.

Hop Bomb

I got 4 x 100g packs from HBC along with my starsan this morning. All my stir plate stuff arrived too. Its gona be a good weekend!

How does this look (imperial IPA):

50g Apollo             [17.00 %] - Boil 60.0 min 59.2 IBUs
50g Bramling Cross [7.30 %] - Boil 40.0 min   22.3 IBUs
50g Bramling Cross [7.30 %] - Boil 20.0 min   15.4 IBUs
50g Bramling Cross [7.30 %] - Boil 10.0 min   9.2 IBUs
50g Bramling Cross [7.30 %] - Dry hop

Would subbing in some cascade be pointless?

QuoteThe Galaxy were 14.1%. Columbus were 14.5% but are 2011 harvest, as discussed.

Would it be fair to say that the Columbus should be ~10%AA at this stage?

Yip. Thats why I wondered. Did they come vacuum packed in foil?
