Hi all, just came across your site today and immediately joined. To cut a very long story shortish, I used to homebrew using malt extract about 30 years ago (showing my age a bit!), and then worked in a couple of microbreweries in England. Came over to Ireland in (I think) 1983, and worked in Harty's in Blessington, Wicklow and then Dempsey's in Inchicore, Dublin. After they both closed, I moved into the wine business, and now find myself running beer tastings, amongst other things. Whilst researching the next tasting (Hoppy Beers) I came across Beoir, and today, you guys. I've been thinking about getting back into home brewing, so it looks like this is the place to come to!

Wow! I haven't seen Brian for over 25 years! We first met as members of Camra Ireland. Obviously a lot of catching up to do ...  :)

Ah! Ha!, Galasnevin! aka. "the Dead Centre Off Dublin" ( I Fell for this one about 6 weeks ago!)

Well a blast from the past :),so your not dead then :P. We had great crack back in the day (some people around here hate that saying). We have to meet up and chin wag,the Liffey Brewers are meeting this wednesday at the Lucan County bar if you can make it.

Well, this is a welcome. Unfortunately I'm working tomorrow (Wednesday) evening, but neither Lucan nor Swords are a million miles away from me, so maybe I can be a floating homebrewer, pinching the best ideas from three different sources!
I'm sure I'll get around to meeting you all, and looking forward to the Capital Brewers Brewday on Sunday.
