QuoteI will probably get it for the iPad. I was considering the android version but surely it would be too small on the phone?

I got it for my Samsung Galaxy S3. It's small alright but definitely usable. I don't have one of those eyePaddle things, and I use the PC version at home. The Android one's ideal for the work toilets :)

Do you find you need to use the cloud service to link your Android recipes with the PC ones? I currently have BeerSmith on 3 machines all synced with dropbox and the Android version is going to add another complication, I would be willing to pay for the cloud service if it meant I didn't have to use dropbox to keep everything synced.

I've just activated my free Beersmith cloud account. That's what I hope to use between PC and phone. Haven't been home yet to see how well it integrates.

What's this about the concession to upgrade?
I have the PC version.

Metattron

I think the upgrade is from the Beersmith lite app to the new app.

Ive got it on my work computer, laptop & on my android phone. The cloud is great as If I design a recipe in work I just click & drag it to cloud so I can view it on my laptop & phone too. 15 free cloud recipes afaik. Ive not run out of space yet but Il pay for the cloud service once I do.

I had lite app.
I now have full.
Hmmm.

The lite App is somewhat limited and I can't figure adjusting the boil timer.
I'll play with the full App for my next brew.
Fingers crossed.

The full (PC) version does tons of stuff, but I find it a bit quirky.
I've had the Boil timer go South on me at least twice mid-boil which is a pain in the tits.

You cant edit your mash tun temp or grain temp on the ipad version.  ???

I've got the full version for android and only find it useful for putting together the basics of a recipe, then edit it in the pc version later.  I'm not sure I would use it much, prefer access to my inventory and my own equipment settings.  Useful for jotting down a recipe idea on the go though.
