Anybody done one?  I've seen a few videos on the youtubes about them and decided to give it a go.  Just a 5l batch from cloudy juice, dry hopped in secondary with 25g Galaxy hops.  To describe it in 3 words, Bitter, Sharp, Dry.  I've done a few ciders before and they have benefited greatly from aging in the bottle for a few months, but I'm not sure about this lot.  Have I over done the hops?  Anyone tried one and liked it?  Got a recipe?
In primary:
In secondary: Wine, Melomel
In keg: Teddy Hopper, Coconut stout, 4 Cs, Buzz bomb, Never Sierra, Bock, OD
In the fridge: Helles Lager, Hob Gob

Consider a hop tea of your favourite hops and adding in small doses to your fav cider.

I'd have thought cider would be sharp enough without the addition of hops - wouldn't fancy it myself, but each to their own. Bottled 4 gallons of last year's batch yesterday - tastes nice, and, due to a dearth of falling down stuff in the shed at the moment, I suspect some of this won't get much of a chance to condition. Ah well...
So if you want my address it's number one at the end of the bar,
Where I sit with the broken angels, clutching at straws,
And nursing our scars.

Well, still got about 9 bottles of it so I'll see how age tames it.

I like the sound of that! Can you do the same with elderflowers, lavender and so on, similar to a country wine?

Tom

Apart, of course, from the fact that apples and elderflowers aren't ripe at the same time.

See my post about E'F syrup
Remember: The Nationals are just round the corner - time to get brewing

Ah, of course. Cheers.

Just an update, tasted one of these tonight and it's really different.  Fruity and a slight sweetness, but still quite dry.  I'll give it a few more months but it's definitely looking like a goer.

Having a few more tonight on ice and its bang on for this weather. Still sharp but very morish. Highly recommended!
