thanks this is useful for me at the moment. trying to research which ones the easiest opened with primitive tools for filling with homebrew...???

In this country the majority of kegs are either Guiness fitting or Heineken fittings

G are a pita to open (yet to see one openend non-destructively)

H are much easier to open if you have a little tool thats quite esay to make. You can then re-use nthem quite easily

Seems easy to turn it open with a tool (I take it you've made one?) for the s type keg. any descriptions or photos?

Would still need to depress the ring each time to release the clips. but if you insert a 5 pence english coin in the top and connect the coupler you can pull them out seemingly save faffing around with screwdrivers like here..

more talking with an owner of s keg said once you get the spear out you can remove the clips for good as they.re just a anti theft device added recently.
