Reverse Osmosis or Distilled Water

Does anyone know where to source either of these cheaply? I've heard that RO water can be sourced from certain pet food stores but I'm not sure for what kind of prices. Can distilled water be bought in bulk cheaply anywhere?

When I was in the states you could buy gallons of distilled water in the pharmacy. Maybe its the same here?

You can get RO water for free in aquarium shops, they use it for filling fish tanks.

They might want to charge if you tell them it's not for fishies, but I contacted the shop in Ashbourne and they didn't care once I didn't empty their tank.

We use a purite d340 deioniser in work - however it might be too small an output for your needs.

I pay for mine in the Kinsealy Pet Store, Malahide road. Its €5 for 25L

Nothing in an Irish chemists shop is going to be cheap!

My water is very soft so I don't need to dilute it. I'm just looking into it as part of a talk I'm going to give for Capital Brewers.

Based on answers I got in another thread it seems lots of people are using CRS instead of RO water. That's fine for most beers but I wouldn't want to use it for certain Czech style lagers. And Tube has pointed out some other potential issues. Cheers for the info about RO water though lads. Handy to have it as an alternative!
