Ive got some niggling things which bug me with my current setup.  Ive got a two tear system going. HLT (on gas burner) & mash tun on one level.
Thats all on one level & a nice height for working at. I use a solar pump to sparge so I dont need gravity. The wort then drops from the mash tun to the BK which is at floor level (also own its on burner). This is where my problems start.

Ive a lot of gear & hoses used at the end of the boil for cooling & hopback. See pic below:

With the BK on the floor its annoying as fcuk to operate everything. So Ive started moving the BK into the HLT spot for the full boil (see pic). This isnt good as Im sometimes lifting 35 litres of wort in a keg by myself. Accident or injury waiting to happen. Once I move to 10 gallon batches lifting the BK wont be possible at all.

How do I make this a one tear system?

On tap: Flanders, Gose,
Fermenting: Oatmeal Brown, 200ish Fathoms,
Ageing: bretted 1890 export stout.
To brew:  2015 RIS, Kellerbier, Altbier.

I use a scissor lift for my boiler (which is a converted SS Keg like yours). It's set low to receive the mash liquor and jacked up to full height (about 4 or 5 feet) when the boil is over to allow me to drain the wort out through a hop stopper typwe device. Works a treat.

The prices seem to have doubled from the time I bought mine but I'm sure you could find a better deal. They're very sturdy (I think they're designed to raise motorbikes) and I've never had a problem with mine.
Every little helps

Dr. Jacoby do you have pics of your setup? Curious to see it.

Scissor lift is a great idea but does seem like a pricey solution. Would collecting the mash wort in a bucket & then pumping it back up to the BK be an option? Hot side aeration issues here? (i know some think its a myth)

For future reference the word is tier, I had no idea what I was reading about when I read the title and was wondering what could possibly be torn in a brewing setup.

With my incorrect terminology & your copy & pasting skills, this place is doomed!  :D

Pumps, thats really the only way you can move liquid around if your not using gravity.
Question, from your pic you seem to have a small pot with a red lid that has the BK feeding into it.Cad é seo ansin.

Thank you :)

My mash flow rate is a little over a pint a minute. How do you pump that little mash wort to the BK without starving the pump?

That can is my housing for the solar pump. St.Fursey did a post on it a while back.

Some commercial brewers use and underback and a pump with a flow switch.

You can control the rate of flow with a valve.

Yup, kind of.

It's an old pic and doesn't show the whole setup. I push the boiler over to the door during the boil to let the steam escape. I no longer use the muslin bag you see draped on the boiler.

That's about as high as the lift will go. You can get a good siphon going at that height.
