If ye are familiar with these kegs they are what Brewdog uses to ship its beers to pubs here. Basically a plastic bladder inside a plastic ball inside a cardboard box. When empty the lot is recycled. Wondering if these could be opened and the plastic ball left insi8de the cardboard frame and used as a FV ?

I had a conversation with blackbrew about this or similar recently.

This is the same principle as your Shaving Gel.
Yes, I'm inquisitive, I opened one there is a plastic bag with gas under pressure between the bag and the can.

I feel a roadtrip in the near future, for research purposes of course. ::)

Just got to look at the ECO keg I got from Irish_Goat. They have a spear and are a solid slightly opaque plastic globe that holds the beer.As you can see from the pictures I used a bar to pry open the yellow snap down lid that holds in the globe. This appears to have a one way clip together system that once you clip the spear and coupler head into the globe it will not unclip. I happen to have a grundy keg coupler head that I connected to the unit and like a standard keg it will degas the globe. I put it upside down and left the coupler connected, the remaining beer drained out of the coupler gas inlet. Verdict, you can set up a wash system to force cleaning water through the beer outlet of the ECO keg, force it up through the spear and drain it through the gas outlet. :)
