Brewed up an IPA from the first buy - no problems with conversion efficiencies - its good stuff

It is certainly the freshest malt you will get!

Can someone explain the difference between ale malt and stout malt.
Why is one better suited to one style than the other?

Cathal

Will_D

Stout malt has a higher diastatic power (in laymans speak: more enzymes to convert non-diastatic malts and adjuncts) which have high levels of starch.

Just wondered, good to hear, thanks Tube.
Bad day brewing is better than good day working.

is that it ? - it is just a pale malt right ?  does the quote above mean it has a higher efficency ? trying to think of the  non-diastatic malts and adjuncts it would convert  - but roast malt would not have anything to ocnvert anyway - I guess oats and stuff ?

could this be used for regular ales ?
