Have done a few lagers and have been happy enough with the results but I've never tries any of the dried yeast strains. I'm just trying to get my head around the pro's and cons of both but not having uses the dried I would appreciate any feedback that's going.

For the price you pay for a tube of liquid yeast that will need a starter of about 3L you can get pitchable amounts of dried yeast. (3-4 12g packets)
I have lager yeast viles in the fridge but am interested if anyone has had any good results with the BREWFERM, MAURIBREW LAGER 497, Prem Crus Lager Yeast or SAFLAGER W-34/70.

Cheers as always.

I'm  a member on a German homebrew forum and a lot of them would use w34-70. I'd stick with liquid myself for lager, but if you're stuck.....

not stuck at all. just doing a bit of research. I like the selection of liquid yeasts but also the ease of pitching large amounts of dry yeast. Think ill look into  w34-70 some more.

34/70 is very close to WLP830 and is supposed to be Carlsberg yeast. I use it and it's grand.

You do a good few lagers, so do you use primarily dry or liquid?
