Anyone tried this out? BlackHeathBrew gave me a few ginger ales he made with DME and they are awesone.  Was making up some elderflower champagne the other night and the lemony flavour put me in mind of Two Dogs, Hooch and the like.  That got me thinking of brewing a malty lemony brew. Anyone tried it?  Hints or tips?

never tried it but has to be doable. The missus likes a bit of Limoncello liquer. The hooch might go down well also

I've a few batches of different "hard" drinks on at the mo-carrot based, beetroot based and a typical lemon based one. All very straight forward-beetroot and carrot I hav used dme, the lemon I have just used lemon rind, shit loads of sugar and turbo yeast

It turned out pretty damn good alright. I'll stick the ginger recipe over in the recipe section later when I get a chance  :)

Am I the only one that thinks this is 7-Up from North of the River?

Bottled up some of this tonight.  Made with DME to 1.040.  Added the rind and juice of 5 lemons and boiled for about 10 minutes.
Stuck it in a demijohn with T58 yeast and left for a few weeks till it started to clear.  Bottled with half a tsp sugar and a tsp Stevia as I recon it will be quite dry.  Looking forward to a taste test.
