Nicotine and opiates increase dopamine release in the pleasure center of the brain. This center is also involved in the addictive properties of both types of drugs. Dopamine is also released in large quantities in response to experiences such as sex and running.

Not sure if that is relevant i just liked the bit about running!.

Ex smoker gave up 16 years ago, cold turkey and lots of water, 

Two  things  that helped me.. non smokers have cravings .. just not ciggies
And the realisation that no drug  helps you do all the things people claim that ciggies do. e. i

I would strongly contest this, as it ignores the social aspects that make it one of the most addictive.

The social aspect of an addiction is hardly Chemical! I am talking about the pure biochemical/neurological aspects of addiction!

Just ask a heroin addict whats the difference between 2 cold turkeys: Cigs or Heroin!

I appreciate you are coming at it as a chemist, but it's not the full story with those drugs at all, in fact if addiction were a simple chemical problem we'd be sorted and have no addiction issues, or issues that could be turned on and off at will...that is not the case.

about 5 months in and my bank account doesn't know what to do with itself.
Even after paying off a loan, a slurge on AllGrain stuff, a big-ass TV, Reverse Osmosis filter, some car fixing, random tools, fixing the mower and a few video games, I'm still better off than i would have been.

They're more expensive for the unit, but there are no disposable cartridges and you fill off the bottles of eJuice (maybe a fiver a fortnight).
The atomizers last longer too. and the unt is about the size of a cigarette.

The shop in wilton has them for an ok price, but they'll fleece you on accessories and atomizers.
So you're better off buying one online.

If you get one, buy a few extra atomizers and cartridges cos they'll charge you over double in Wilton for those.
