Best place to buy lactose?

Have a bottle of this,got it at https://www.thehomebrewcompany.ie/lactic-acid-80-100ml-p-1369.html. Mine came in a glass bottle but did not know it came from Boobs. Bottle does have a nice feel to it though.

It's probably because of the dual purpose of lactose. In Engliand your local cops get notified if you buy 5KG or more off of the homebrew shops.

As far as I know it's extracted from whey generated from milk from some mammal. Not sure what the moral problemis here? Maybe try corn flour if you have a problem with lactose.

FFS It comes from COWS milk!

There is a SLIGHT surplus of nice fresh drinking milk and so it gets processed into all sorts of products like Whey, Dried Milk Powder, Lactose etc etc

Not every calf from a pregnant cow is raised for veal. Some would be raised for beef and for dairy. If you were talking about Jersey cows I could understand as the male calves are routinely euthanised after a few days as there is no real market for them.

I think people feel is wrong because it's the meat of a young milk fed calf!!
Anyway, it's very hard to buy here, I've only been able to find knuckle of veal(for osso bucco) when a family member was travelling to Cork- English market

Dairy cattle are kept continuously pregnant/giving birth to keep them in milk for human consumption. The male calves that are born have a very short life before they're slaughtered, generally 1 to 6 months, and it wouldn't be the most fulfilling.
