Rats

I had a gas system but decided to change over to electric.
Here are some pics of the new setup and my temporary control box.
Still waiting for some gadgets to come but with xmas and new year it might take some time  :(
A pic of my control panel(how it will look)

Totally jealous! Any chance if a pic of the entire setup?

The control box is not connected to the brewery yet.
Will update as soon as everything is up and running.

Cool. Please keep me posted :)
Also, are you going to put that element into your MT or under the bottom if it?

Rats

It's inside at the bottom. Drilled a 40mm hole at the bottom.

So you got sorted for a hole saw then?  I was wondering when you were going to come over to collect my one.

Is 3kw enough to bring ~45-50l to boil?
Ok did some tests today.
To bring 30L of water from 10°C to 74°C with the 2.5kw it took 65 min.
Transfer to BK (2hours later) Temp of water in BK was 44°C.
From 44°C to rolling boil took 68 min with the 3kw.
The shed was a constant 11°C inside.

Insulation will help to shorten the time to reach boil and also protect the little mountain range. (the Andies ;))
