The Old Boro has got the ginger porter on from Cathal & Emma's visit to BRU.

Its a brilliant beer!

I didn't make it out last night but is it still on tap in Farringtons? Anywhere else in Dublin have it?

RASCALS Ginger Porter brewed in BRU brewery is available in Farrington's Temple Bar,  Lagoona IFSC and The Old Boro Swords.
Its getting a great response and selling well so we have decided to do another contract brew with BRU while we get our own system up and running.

More Ginger stout or a different brew?

Talking to the Mark, manager at the Boro over a pint I suggested it would make an excellent summer stout as its very light and refreshing.

It would also a great "training" beer to get a person into the stouter end of the market!

Looking foreward to all your future offerings!

I had a few pints of the ginger porter last night. I think it is excellent. Perfect amount of ginger. I definitely recommended it. Hopefully it will still be on tap at our next meet up in the Boro.

I was saying the same thing last night, its definatly looks like it will be more drinkable then other stouts/porters on a warm day

Glad you like it guys. We feel it's a year round beer as well and have been asking everyone their opinion on this.
@Will - We will be making the same beer again,

Excellent news Cathal - Sorry I called it a stout though its a Porter as it says on the clip!

Note to self: Bring glasses when tasting beer - There a clue on the handle or the bottle!

Will this make an appearance in Cork Cathal? Remember that place? ;-)

Baby steps John. We will see how it goes.

What was the batch size? Do Bru deal with the excise and provide a route to market?

Its a 1000L batch.  The 3 pubs mentioned above took all this for the xmad period but we hope to have it in a few more places. The main reason we decided to do another batch is to have fresh beer at the Alltech event in Feb and then roll it out after that.
