Bit of advice needed. The brother is away on holiday at the minute so his house's heating isn't on. He's back on the 15th so I'm wondering if I brew there on the 13th with the heating on will the temperature drop too low before he gets back? I'll put the heating on on the brew day can then wrap the FV in a duvet or whatever. Wondering if I could get away with brewing on the 10th as well. So the heat would be off on the 11th and 12th but back on again on the 13th.

Heat belt is on the to do list.

Pitch at 20-23C and wrap in a blanket. The yeast will make its own heat to get through the initial carbonation stage.

Brew belts are a tricky device - and are very risky to use on beer. There are lots of commercial yeasts that go to crap when they are too warm.

Temperature was 9c when I got into the house yesterday. Made a starter last night so I'll probably brew Thursday night/Friday morning, then brew again Monday.

Since the brother is away you could use it for a cook house
