Need enough of these to bottle a 23 litre batch so at least 50 required. ;D

Hi Greg

Invest in a bench capper and then go dumpster diving in local pubs bottle bin for empties. In no time at all you will have 50 bottles.

If you want the flip tops I believe it is either alpack or home brew west do them cheapest.

But bench capper plus scavenged bottles is the way to go. That way you can give them away without depleting the expensive flip tops.

I have hoarded loads of bottles but I am uk based, so it might be tricky to collect.

I have a crappy twin handle capper but i really wanted to get away from capping bottles unless completely necessary. Hoping to have a couple of cornies soon anyway so i might just hold off on the bottles, tbh bench capper while a great investment is not priority right now. ;D

Some guys prefer the wing cappers. I think the bench ones need to be readjusted if your bottles are not a uniform height.

I spent a bit extra on my wing capper and it's a treat, a brew better one I think.

Plastic PET bottles (the proper beer ones) work well if you have an immediate bottling need.

Good idea on the Coopers bottles, will see if i can order a couple of boxes next week. ;D

To be honest the coopers bottles are a waste of money in my opinion. I find they degrade over time but I suppose the have an advantage of being a bit cheaper than swing tops and don't require a capper.

More than a bit cheaper, about one third the price by my calculations. No i would not use them long term but they are cheap and brand new nothing wrong with them, for now i need something by next weekend tbh so its looking like these are my best option.Still getting the kegs though ;D

Much prefer capped bottles over swing tops. Swing tops are handy but a proper capped bottle with a decent label will impress mates a lot more than a swing top.
