That would be funny.

People do use the mix, so someone will reply soon. If you haven't already, you might want to think about a creamer disc, or whatever they're called.

Beerbuddha

I have stout tap. Us it the disk in that you mean.
I'm kinda wondering now if anyone knows someone who fills helium balloons.
Maybe connect keg up and test it out !  >:D

If only there was man who could make it happen...where is mashtun murphy  8) when we need him

Hehe! Yeah, he's the man. But we can only talk about him in hushed tones.

Aye, the restrictor disc. 5 small holes. If you've got a stout tap, then you'll probably have it in it.

Bad day brewing is better than good day working.

There are lots of empty mixed gas bottles around.

However getting them refilled is almost impossible!

Go Legit: open an acct. with BOC and they will rent the bottle for abvout €1 a week. A fill/refill is about €45!

When you think what you save by being a home brewer it amazes me that people are so effing tight they won't go with BOC

Correct me if im wrong but dont think BOC like to sell to non-traders. its 65 + vat I think last time I checked for the cylinder and 50ish to refil. I tried the place in newbridge, their name i forgot, they supply gas to hospitals and universities and so on....the feckers sent me a quote ( as a homebrewer no problems) was 40 sterling + vat for the cylinder and then less than a tenner + vat for a refil /swap...then they discovered they dont have brewing gas stocked in ireland. >:(

If BOC don't stock brewing gas then who supplies the gas the pubs use ?

correction / clarification... the place in newbridge is not BOC, cant remember the name its a big supplier of beer gas in UK. Big Place in Toughers business park mainly supply hospital gas

mr hoppy

Maybe we could set up a "trader", group buy style for members?

The BOC depot in Ballymun (North Dublin - behind Musgraves)  is more than happy to set up an account for homebrewers.

All you need is ID (passport) and bank acct details, fill in the forms and 10 mins later walk out with the gas of your dreams.

All that for less than 1.50 a week!

If you can get to this depot, yer man's name is Owen, and say that Will (tall baldy Welsh brewer) sent you!
