1 - rack beer off trub
2 - add a liter of boiled then cooled water and slosh the trub up
3 - Pour the diluted trub into a big jar and let it settle
4 - Pour the yeast into smaller jars (to the top), leaving the bottom layer of dirty gunk behind
5 - Put the jars in the fridge. The yeast will settle out under piss colored water. When you want to use them, drain the piss and step the yeast up.

probably not the same 5 steps, but they'll do.

And I was about to chuck a Belgium Bastogne tonight.

;D Let the washing commence!!!  ;D

I've added a new wiki. I'll update it with pictures once this barrel beer comes off the trub.

Do you just use 1L when you wash? I have always went for ~4L of water added to leave me with ~2L into a jar to settle.

LordEoin

I suppose it doesn't really matter how much water you add, so long as you've a jar big enough to old it + the trub :)
