Has any one here being got and scammed by this company. They managed to tag a direct debit to my credit card for €12 a month since January. Checking with my credit card company they set up the payment in December after I purchased injet cartridges. Have now blocked them but they are rampant accross the UK as well >:(.

A few years back I spotted on my CC bill 3 payments of £20 for some strip club in Edinburgh.

That I'd just recently been to Edinburgh on a stag do was mere coincidence.

So, some swine must have copied your card whilst you were at the toilet or something...the sly bastar...oh wait.

DEMPSEY

Well I did not sign up with anyone and certainly would not agree to pay €12 a month for the right to get a discount :o. It is all over the web regarding their tricks in the UK. Credit card company told me it is a recurring problem and ATM buying in Curry's,Argos and PC world is where it is happening. >:( >:(

In fairness to the, ahem, establishment, they were very discreet about how they billed the CC. The payments were down as 'Edinburgh Health Services', I guess for cases where blokes' missus read their statements.

Was confused for a while, though. Couldn't for the life of me think why I'd been to some branch of Medicare 3 times in quick succession.

They sold it to you in the shop then, i.e. not online?
No they got my details as I purchased online. I have asked for proof of where I am supposed to have signed up to throw away money >:(

Cheers Dempsey. I just checked and I'm setup too after claiming 10 euro back from an Irishrail ticket. Bit pissed off with Irishrail for having it on there site.

DEMPSEY

Found people in the UK also scamed by buying online rail tickets and then hit for £10 a month.

Where did you claim it? Online, irishrail.ie etc or where?
Comes up on the Irishrail.ie site. When you finish paying. I don't think u have to re-enter your card details or I'd have smelled a rat. They offer you money off your next train fare. Then you get an email which at the bottom explains the t+c's if u read down that far. They say they send out a cheque with the refund to throw u off the scent that they have your card details I guess. http://www.askaboutmoney.com/showthread.php?t=181126
