Both do same thing I just find oats easier to get. Maybe someone else can give more info.

Thing is, I'm not going to want to make summery wheat beers in September    Looking into a possible source at the moment.

Would use rice husks but I've never seen them for sale here.

Why don't you just stick some muslin in your mash tun, if you are worried about a stuck mash? Used to mare a lot of wheat beers back in my BIAB days often with 60% wheat, and never had problems.
