Grain mill recommendations please?

Always bought pre-ground grains but toying with idea of doing it myself to save on grain costs and getting more storage time.

What mills do people use and how do they find them?
If money wasn't an issue (it usually is) what is the best mill out there?

It's hard to beat this one in my opinion.

Everything is included. Adjustable rollers, hopper, crank handle, can be driven with a drill, free bucket, timber base with a groove to fit the bucket. No mods required.

Post something in Wanted section. I personally know few of us on here with spare corona mills lying around. Maybe someone wants to sell it for few quid.
Corona is a good starter mill.

I think if I am gonna get one, it will be the last one I buy so probably won't go down the Corona mill route.

Did you put a hopper arrangement on it too?

I dont mind the elbow grease required to fly through a grist with my corona, but it is messy to feed, and it does spit out odd bits of grain all over the place.

No, but you can pop in to me and mill grain, when you are passing in the meantime.

Yeah an empty 5kg protein powder tub makes a great hopper. Just cut a hole in the lid and cut the bottom off the empty tub. It fits perfectly once you cut a hole in the lid rather than simply remove the lid as it fits better with the ring from the lid.
I used a Holland and Barrett tub.

I know the OP said money's no object but with even the two easy mods from this I find a corona works pretty well. Lidl 5l water bottles make handy hoppers as well.

Thanks for the 5L water bottle suggestion. I was thinking of investing in some RO water bottles for mixing up star san, so would eventually have some of these lying around.

The first mill you link to looks identical to the brewferm one alright. But you don't get is the wood base and bucket.

The Australian one looks very solid. Mate
