Can anyone tell me the difference between these three beer tap styles?
Some of the spacers are dated 9/99 so they're most likely all from 1999 and in fairly good nick
the heineken is marked 92/05, but the plastic flow control ring seems broken.
The bottom one is guinness and has the perforated disc. is that another control out the front?
is there any difference between the top and bottom taps apart from the position of the flow control?
How much are they worth with handles?

LordEoin

here they are with their handles

magnethead

I have four of the top one's. They're made by an english company (Correction ;p were made a long time ago)
http://www.universaldispensesystems.com/

Finely engineered Stainless steel  :P ....You can take out that middle spacer if you want to mount the tap closer to a Keezer like I did. you can knock your beer into these at whatever pressure you want and the superb flow control should handle it with ease. If you're buying them, you'll need to completely break them down, There's 3 O-rings on the handle even though you'll only see one. I'm guessing back in the day these would be around €120 new so whatever you think your can get the guy down to for a second hand tap.....(maybe contact the company above to confirm)
you can screw off the nozzle and directly attach your own counter pressure system ;p (I posted a thread in the equipment section a while back).

THe other 2 taps look a little bit more convuluted (maybe harder to clean?) but same basic principle ...Get yourself some kluber grease(search the forum for shop) to avoid them sticking hard.

Thanks magnethead!
I stripped them all down and everything looks fresh and tidy. Extremely well built indeed!
But I can't get the spacers out. They're bloody tight fitting ;)
I suppose I'll just have to use a bit of brute force.
Recon about €40 a piece is a fair price for them?

magnethead

40 would be a very good price, they are fine Taps indeed, before all the plastic modern shite....

I hear, they use disposible taps pieces now, because the cleaning process (Breakdown and reasssemble) was too time consuming.

The Nozzle and flow control  is a replaceable unit :) Haven't seem them though.
