That depends on your exact location, cylinder size and refill price  ;)

Damofto

Would be interested if they were delivered, are you able to get your hands on Mixed Gas by any chance?

+1 On the mixed gas  ;D Also the smaller CO2 tanks, i think they are like 2kg, not fire extinguishers but same size. ::)

as per size the one mentioned to me was 20oz however Im sure I can source bigger cylinders

A

20 oz or 20 lbs ? 20oz wouldnt last a full keg IMHO. As for the mixed gas it is typically 50/50 Co2/Nitrogen or 70/30 CO2/Nitrogen afaik.  ;D

20oz like the paintball cylinders

or would it just be easier to supply ya'll with cheap as hell BOC cylinders? lol

If its 20 oz then they would need a special adapter to fit onto a pressure regulator, i have not seen those adapters here anywhere. ;D

Well tbh i would not mind one of those 20 oz ones as well but yes IMHO the normal pub style is easiest.  ;D

Yes but standard UK valve for paintball or for a proper regulator ? You will need to find that out first. I could see a few going for these if you can make sure they will fit a regulator such as below, either that or you will have to source the proper adapter to get them to work.

Can anyone give me a rough idea what you would pay for a 22kg or bigger cylinder of either co2 or mixed gas?

thanks :) need to do some calculations  O0 O0 O0 O0 O0 O0 O0

22kg gross weight filled or 22kg is the weight of the gas when its filled ? ;D

Then you need to find out what the weight of CO2 is when its filled, that is what the tank is sold by. 8)

**LIL UPDATE**

Just asked my guy about the weight of the cylinder when filled and i cant find out. the only information i could ascertain was this

50 Bar at 15c
Gross weight 22.4kg
Beverage Dispense Gas E290

hope this helps in anyone able to give me an idea of what sort of price you'd pay for this thanks.

(co2 and mixed gas available)

Thanks man but we really need to know how much gas is in it first, after all gas is sold by net weight. Also are the tanks aluminium or steel would make a difference too as would if they have a valid pressure test cert.

That sounds like a old pub size 7kg cylinder. The Tare weight is typically 16 kg on these. It is stamped on the neck of the bottle somewhere.

Tare: This is the term for the empty bottle. It is a great idea to weigh your various bits of kit and mark up the empty weight. That way if you want to know how much is in the corny: weigh it, subtract the tare (typically 6kg) and then you know how full it is. Likewise when weighing grain, you remmber that you didn't zero the scales before putting the bucket on. If you know the tare of the bucket then its easy - just weigh out say 4 kgs plus the bucket's tare.

Wondering if this helps??

Cylinder size: VB/LB
Max filled pressure at 15c : 50
Approx dimensions inc valve and guard where supplied (mm) 140x 940
Approx full cylinder weight (kg) 17.4
Manifolded Clinder Pallets : TKL
Max Filled pressure at 15c : 50
Approx dimensions inc cylinders (mm) 840 x 1280 x 1839
Maxx Gorss weight (kg) 1368

any good?

That last one for max gross weight can't be correct,  as it reads above that is nearly a ton 1/2 weight, could you check that again ? As Will D eluded to ther must be somewhere it says Tare weight ? Or alternatively if you have an empty cylinder could you weigh it yourself and let us know and someone might be able to work out how much gas it takes ? Thanks.

Not trying to give you a hard time man and i know you are trying but as it stands the info is just too hit and miss sorry, the most important
two things that are needed are 1) What is the nett weight of the CO2 when tank is filled, 2) Does the tank have a valid up to date pressure certification ?, as we still dont know either of these for definite its hard to give you any advice on what to charge etc. ;D

If you asked BOC what the nett weight of CO2 was then they should have been able to tell you, without that nobody is going to commit to buying a tank from you IMHO, also you need to be able to say whether the tanks you are selling have been pressure certified and cert is up to date.

Also i am a bit confused but what tank is it that you have that weighs 10.1kg exactly as that does not tally with the tank weights you have given so far ? What might make it easier is if you could supply a good clear picture of the tank in question and maybe someone here could identify it ?. ;D
