Tom

For what it's worth, I got 7kg of CO2, my own cylinder picked up
and dropped back off for 45 yos. As far as I could tell it was 15
for the gas, the rest delivery.

I think it was e10 for 2kg, and a euro per kg after that.
I can't quite remember. He talked A LOT.

Much appreciated to Greg for the pm and call buddy :)

anyway so this is now the information I have

I weighed the cylinder again and I reckon I only used a half kilo out of it (i weighed it last time on the carpet haha) and now its reading 22.5kg so i reckon 23kg filled

the tank is made out of steel and im about 180cm tall and it reaches my waist line

The tanks i can get will have a company plastic seal on them and have a sticker i believe that has the date it was filled etc

refills are no issue at all nor is mixed gas

could anyone help :)

I have a 6kg tank and i reckon from what dark told me his one is between 6kg and 10kg CO2 ?  ;D

This thread is going nowhere until some sensible measurements/photos are posted.

For what its worth:

CO2 cylinders take on significant weight when filled as the CO is liquid.

Mixed gas high pressure cylinders show a miniscule weight gain.

Suggest you get a decent tape measure, weighing scales, and take some photos!

Are the threads Male or Female?

Give us the clues and we can help!

Dark lad, I'm based in Belfast and am genuinely interested in what you might have to offer but it all seems a bit,  and no offence intended, speculative to me and that makes me nervous, especially where gases are involved. At the very least you should know your product.

Good luck,

You have a bigger one than i do (ooh matron)  :P Seriously though that yoke is way bigger than my 6kg tank, m8 if you have any buddy in the pub trade or something like that you HAVE to get the correct info.

I mean seriously there is 3 pages of replies now and we still don't know what is in the damn thing, i know we talked yesterday but man you really got to get the finger out and get the info, people are getting pissed off at this stage me included as you dont seem to be really chasing down any info about the tanks. Did you even pm Bazza and Will D like i told you to ?  ::)

I understand totally where you guys are coming from

id be annoyed if i was possibly onto something good and couldnt get the correct info on the product too! :)

couldn't beat a few new friends eh lol

If the pub doesnt get back to me ill contact BOC again and request the info

just to clarify what i need to know

1) empty weight of cylinder
2) full weight of cylinder
3) total volume of co2 in cylinder
4) male or female threads?

This list would be more accurate actually;

1) Empty weight of cylinder in Kg.
2)Nett wieght of CO2 in Kg when cylinder is full.
3) Male or Female threads on cylinder valve.

ALRIGHTY! a bit of progress

According to BOC via email the cylinders i can supply hold 6kg of co2
gross weight 17.5kg
Valve is : RH 0.86 inch x 14 TPI Male

does this help?

Sure does, that's the info we needed. Same size tank as mine so. :D

Just shooting in the dark as I dont know what the going rates are

so £70 for a filled cylinder and then £25 for a refill?

does that sound mental or okay or?

Mental tbh  :P

How about:

£0.24 + a recently-acquired vintage Ryan Giggs poster for a filled cylinder?
£0.00 + a look at my sister for a refill?

(disclaimer: I couldn't stomach buying the poster, and I don't have a sister)

Alright, to the point:

Firstly, £50 for a filled 6Kg cylinder is very competitive, in my opinion.
£25 per refill is still a little off the mark. I'm currently paying £20.
Will you refill any cylinder, or just ones purchased from yourwself?

Regarding the cylinder, what kind of guarantee comes with it? Do you have a discounted replacement policy after 5 years, for instance, to keep yourself within regulations?
Do you intend to do the refills onsite or will you collect and send them off somewhere? If so, I take it that somewhere is within these 32 counties?

Any prices regarding 2kg cylinders?

Cheers,

-Barry
