Leaking Fermenter

One of my FV seems to leak around the airlock grommet, it is okay to use a bit of plumbers tape around the airlock stem
to make it a little wider therefore putting a bit more pressure on the grommet to make a better seal.

I'd say it will be hard to sanitise the tape properly but it should work I suppose.

I'd be inclined to leave it alone. A little air leak is no big deal. Once it's not a gapping hole that will allow nasties to fall into the FV.
