Mine sit on the floor with all the wires exposed.
So I want to put them in some sort of enclosure. What are people using? Didn't see anything suitable in the local hardware..
Cheers..

What about a children's lunch box :)

Youd get a suitable box in Maplins or in an electrical wholesaler(if you dont like Dempseys lunchbox idea)

I use a plastic chinese takeaway container. Poked a couple of holes in it for the power cables. It's see through so I'm able to read the display and I just open the lid when I want to change the settings.

i use a box like this from maplin. it was about €7 as far as i remember.

plenty of space for extras like a cable connector, fuse, sockets etc and nice and sturdy.

one thing i'll do differently next time though is have the bottom of the sockets pointing back instead of down.

mcgrath

@ LE that looks the business..
I actually have one box I thought was way too big. But I hadn't thought to put the sockets in it. I use extension leads cut in half. That's a great idea. Cheers..

dangly bits of chord make it easier to build and you can use a smaller box.
The more you squeeze in there, the more complicated the wiring gets
