A bit of a weird one. I want to leave my keg soaking in cleaning solution as well as doing a large batch of bottles from time to time.

What would people suggest to use or any recommendations of places to pick up said container.
Fermenting: IPA, Lambic, Mead
Conditioning: Lambic, Cider, RIS, Ole Ale, Saison
On Tap: IPA, Helles, Best Bitter

Those samla boxes o think they are called in ikea. Have all my fliptops from the GB in one of the biggest ones. They have wheels and are water tight.

I use the bath, bonus points because it cleans the bath at the same time as well.

I bought a 110L box from Woodies but you'd be surprised how few bottles it would hold. It will do a full batch but there's not much space left! Then there's the problem of emptying out the water. It's fĂșcking heavy.

Last time I just used the bath. When I was finished, just open the drain and off goes the water.

+1 on the bath and brownie points for how clean the bath is afterwards!

molc

Ohh, I like brownie points. I can just imagine her happiness when she comes in and sees the bath sparkling. I'll give that a go and see how I get on with some Oxi.

Thanks guys.

ha from your post I would have assumed you had no bath! defo the best option. ;)

I have not one, but two! :D However, in my head, baths were for people and buckets were for beer related Paraphernalia :D

Watch out when soaking the outside of your kegs. The black dye ran on the rubber grips on a keg I soaked in Oxy. (I'd just bought it and the connects were really stiff.) It was ok after leaving it to dry but now I just half fill kegs with oxy solution, give them a roll around and wipe down the outside with an oxy soaked soft sponge.

Animal feed buckets are pretty handy for beer related uses as well.

The thing is just pretty dirty so I want to get it cleaned up. Even the rubber looks like it could do with a bit of a clean. The black dye won't cause any issues running for a bit will it, other than making a slight mess?

I disassemble my kegs and fill the keg to brim with 40c water and VWP for cleaning all the stainless part. I used to soak bottles in a large pharmaceutical drum but it's a balls to fish the bottles out. Now I run the bottles through a dishwasher cycle without any salt. The heat & water clean the bottles and usually remove the labels also.
