Does anybody know if I can remove the bottom piece in this regulator so I can install a y-piece to fit 2 kegs?

I am talking about the piece that the red shut off valve is connected to

This is the y-piece

No idea, but couldn't you do it with a cheap line splitter like this: http://www.kegoutlet.com/beer-and-gas-line-tee-stainless-steel.html

Already have the y-piece so was hoping it could attach to my current regulator

But your way should work too  :)

Tbf I am thinking of investing in a reg in which you can have independent pressures for different ales anyway

LordEoin

ahh, rightio.
But if there's no obvious way of doing it with both parts in your hand, then you'd probably be looking at an overpriced connector to make the two work together.
if you're thinking of upgrading your reg anyway, I'm sure you'll get a reasonable price for the old one via the for sale section. There's always folks looking for regulators etc :)

Yeah, probably what I will end up doing.

Just that it looks like the piece should screw out but no movement whatsoever.

As they are both bits of kit from HBW and they talk about using the Y piece on another reg - ask them!

re. The use of T pieces: It can be done easily/cheaply with a T piece or JG fittings. There are a few problems to aware of to do with beer flowing in the gas lines. I will try to write up an aricle on gas lines/splitters/regs etc.
Remember: The Nationals are just round the corner - time to get brewing

I had considered that but always like to gauge opinion from someone who may have done this before first.
Shall fire them a mail over the weekend methinks
