OMG there are some people out there who must think I was born yesterday. I have a specialist double glazing machine for sale  on donedeal and yesterday I was contacted  by text to offer  to buy it and was given an email address  to contact. So I contacted this email and this is what I got back.

to me
Thanks for the swift response. Am really impressed in purchasing and i need to make the payment right away as i need it urgently I have managed to squeeze out time to check your advert and send you a text regarding it. I really want the it to be a surprise package for my brother-in-law so I won't let him know anything about it until it gets delivered to him. I am sure he will be more than happy with it,payment via PayPal or bank transfer to your account and as well pick up will be made by a shipping company once payment is made to your account.I will like you to send me the picture if there is any and Please if you don't have a PayPal account yet, it is very easy to set up, log on to www.paypal.com and get it set up. After you have set it up get back to me with your paypal email address or  better still bank details i.e bank name, swift code,IBAN with sort code and account number so i can proceed with payment and pick up can as well be made immediately. I shall be waiting on your soonest mail once you receive my message.

Thanks and please kindly inform other buyers it is already sold.

Be blessed.
John

Garry . . . . brilliant! I must have got hundreds of emails from people who said they were Nigerian offering to give me millions if only I would allow them to put their money in my account!

Saw a program about these scams in the UK and was amazed at just how many people fall for them.

I lived in Ennis, some Muppet of an accountant traveled to Nigeria and was held hostage of something. Some time before this I had dealings with the same fella (the Ennis accountant). I wonder which one was the bigger criminal...

I got an email the other day saying my e-tickets for the Peter Pan panto in Bournemouth Interntional Centre (BIC) in December. The email looked veeeery legit and when when I went to the BIC website there was a Peter Pan Panto on that day, the seats in the email were indeed sold and the colour scheme/logo etc we're spot on. It was only when I googled Bournmouth International Centre and tickets that I found out what it was. Apparently the e-ticket attached to the email was some form of worm executable that nicks all your details. Mad!
