Is there a "Northside Dublin" Club?

I know about Capital Brewers, and I'll be joining them on Tuesday in WJK, however I didn't see anything specifically Northside - there is South Dublin and North County.

I'm looking for something to encompass Finglas, Santry, Glasnevin, Ballymun, Beamount, Artane, Coolock, Donaghmede.

Basically anything D5, 11, 13, 17, anyone got any interest in forming a group?

Jacob

Take 41, 41C and meet us in Swords. It will take you 15 minutes to get there from Santry :P

In that area myself as well, but in two minds if it warrants another club. Most public transport leads via city centre, so when your that close to town, just going to capital brewers seems to make more sense. Plus wjk is a north side pub anyway :)
Fermenting: IPA, Lambic, Mead
Conditioning: Lambic, Cider, RIS, Ole Ale, Saison
On Tap: IPA, Helles, Best Bitter

If there are 2 or 3 coming from Finglas prob just as easy and cheep to split a taxi to swords.

I remember the same question was asked before we established the "South Dublin" group. The fact is that most of the SD regulars don't want the hassle of going all the way into town for the Capital Brewers meets. Probably the same reason a brewer in Finglas doesn't want to lug bottles of beer all the way to Swords.

It's just a matter of logistics. We wanted something "local" and the reason it's been as successful as it has is because the monthly meets are in a handy location for our regulars. If the OP wants to establish a new club in the north of the city, and if there's sufficient interest, I think he should be encouraged to do so.

Absolutely. Same way the Meath lads have just it. Put out some feelers and gauge interest. If it's a flyer good stuff. If it's not sure you know where to find the NCB.

That's a fair point alright. Well if it's any help, I know there's about 3 of us in the Raheny area, a few in Drumcondra and the some more further afield in Sutton and Malahide. I'm not sure where would suit for a meet location for those though. Coolock? love pump and Bull have a craft pub there and opening one in Raheny.

EDIT: C O C K and bull got turned into love pump :DDD I have been duly entertained :D

Tight t-shirts, whips and craft beer :)

Yeah I'd probably be more likely to make it to something in Raheny than Swords

Raheny Club it is so, five mins walk from my flat, slightly more convenient than WJ K's. What shall we call it? I vote for Barrytown Brewers.

I'm all for it, I'm an exhausting 8 minutes away. :)

How about north side shipping centre brewers. I believe all the native dubs already have a jingle and all prepared ;)

Barrytown brewers is magic. At least until the split

I'd be up for this ... but only if we could get some Barrytown Wheelies Brewers jackets like Colm Meaney's!  :P
