anybody here from the Louth area who'd like to see a North East club.it would be great to get a meet going so we can exchange advice, recipes, brews and talk all things homebrew till the cows come home without our wives/girlfriends rolling their eyes up at the mere mention of the word sparging.

i live in Dundalk, there's a few good pubs here we could probably do it in but if more people seem to be from the Drogheda area then we could meet there or even alternate, but we'll worry about the logistics later.

great.thats a majority.Dundalk it is

i'll ask around a few bars and see if they're cool with it.i'd imagine they'd be hard pushed to let us share/sample each others brews in their place but hopefully we can get someone who doesn't mind.(if anybody from another club is reading this maybe some advice on how ye got round this would be helpful.i'd imagine there was a promise of buying a minimum amount of drinks or something)

any particular days of the week that yis can/can't do.i'd suggest sometime during the week on one of their quiter nights,a tuesday or so

Fair play lads, we're getting the Meath club up and running at the moment. Your more than welcome to come down on the 7th to have a chat

I suppose find a bar that sells decent beer and food and you can kinda say well we'll need a certain amount of sausages n chips and we'll buy some beers too in between tasting. Thats the approach i've taken with Central and they're delighted, wouldn't be much else going on midweek i suppose.

not a lot of pubs down our way do food and there's only 2 pubs that would be considered 'craft' bars

but i'll try and get down to the spirit store later lads and see if mark (the owner) is there and have a wee chat with him about it if he's in
