Lager question/confusion

Just goes to show we lack a bit of experience at the old lagering :) Giving this a first go in a few weeks myself once the kegs arrive. Can't wait to pour a nice clean lager from my own taps and watch friends drool! :)
Fermenting: IPA, Lambic, Mead
Conditioning: Lambic, Cider, RIS, Ole Ale, Saison
On Tap: IPA, Helles, Best Bitter

No bother Greg2013, I hijacked myself to ask the same questions...I'm fermenting at the moment for 3 weeks, gonna bring out for D rest for a few days, bottle while the temp is high and then lager in the bottles, I don't want to chance having flat lager at the end so that's why bottle conditioning is the way I'm going about it, first time trying lager and next purchase is an STC for me if I do a lager again, bottling a stout Saturday so at least that's one done

Fermenting too low can result in a slow ferment and diacetyl. Mind some lager yeasts are more finnicky than others. WLP833 is a decent one if you've limited control.

Ok lads, back with more questions

My lager has now had 11 days in the fridge at 9c, I hit my OG bang on at 1.048, today's reading is 1.012 so not quite there yet as my target is 1.009 do I

A: bring out now to warm up for D rest while it's still not totally fermented out or leave it alone

I was gonna bottle after D rest and then lager for 4-6 weeks reducing temps daily til I'm at almost freezing

It tastes pretty good (for a lager) but just the issue with cloudiness which I'm sure will clear

Thanks in advance

Cheers Dempsey...after I bottle will I leave 7-10 days to carbonate and then lager it??? Prob a stupid question

Gugs44

Just brought it in a while ago and it's bubbling away mad again, it's not too far away from the stove...is this too severe or should the heat b gradually brought up???

DEMPSEY

let it come up slowly. The stove maybe too hot to be near no :-\

After the DA rest, crash cool to 2C, Hold for 48 hours then "warm up" to kegging temps - say 18C!
Remember: The Nationals are just round the corner - time to get brewing

Gugs44

Can I not just prime and bottle after rest, leave for a few days to carbonate and then cold crash

Apologies now but this process is a first for me so excuse all the questions
